It is required that applications for Permit Types 4 and 5, and recommended for applications for Permit Type 3, go through the pre-application process prior to submitting an application for development. The purpose of the pre-application is to acquaint the applicants with the requirements of the code and the project review process, and for City staff to perform a preliminary review of the proposal for the purpose of determining appropriate review procedures, identifying potential issues, and facilitating the application and project review process. In order to ensure that the pre-application is meaningful, the applicant is requested to provide the information listed on the forms supplied by the department. City staff will respond to a pre-application submittal with written comments. The applicant may then request a conference if necessary. (Ord. 2338, 2017)
