A. All committees shall have members appointed by the Mayor subject to Council confirmation; provided, that Council members have an opportunity to review the application of the Mayor’s appointee prior to the meeting at which the Council is to confirm the appointment. Appointments made to fill a vacancy with less than six months remaining in the regular term shall not count toward term limits.

B. When realigning terms within a board or commission, the Mayor may extend an existing appointee up to six months or make an appointment for a duration less than one regular term.
