A person who knowingly fails to register as required by RCW 9A.44.130 as now or hereafter amended, is guilty of a gross misdemeanor if the crime for which the individual was convicted was other than a Class A Felony under the laws of this state, or a federal or out of state conviction for an offense that under the laws of this state would be a Class A Felony.
