19.04.030 Building Codes Adopted by Reference With Amendments.

The following documents are hereby adopted by reference:

A. The State Building Code Act, Chapter 19.27 RCW.

B. Adopted under Chapter 51-50 WAC: The International Building Code, 2021 Edition, including Appendix Chapters C, E, F, G, H, I, and J, the 2021 Edition of the International Existing Building Code, and the 2021 Edition of the International Swimming Pool and Spa Code, published by the International Code Council, and as amended by SMC 19.04.040.

C. Adopted under Chapter 51-50 WAC: The Twenty-First Edition of the Fire Resistive Design Manual, published by the Gypsum Association.

D. Adopted under Chapter 51-51 WAC: The 2021 Edition of the International Residential Code, published by the International Code Council, as amended herein and including Appendix Chapters F, H, K, Q and U, and as amended by SMC 19.04.050.

E. Adopted under Chapter 51-56 WAC: The 2021 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code and Standards, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, excluding Chapters 12 and 14 and those requirements relating to venting and combustion air or fuel-fired appliances as found in Chapter 5, including Appendix Chapters A, B, D, E, I, and L, and as amended by SMC 19.04.060.

F. Adopted under Chapter 51-54A WAC: The 2021 Edition of the International Fire Code, published by the International Code Council, including Appendix Chapters B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, and K, and as amended by SMC 19.04.070.

G. Adopted under Chapter 51-52 WAC: The 2021 Edition of the International Mechanical Code, published by the International Code Council. Included in this adoption is Appendix Chapter A, the 2021 Edition of the International Fuel Gas Code, the 2021 Edition of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code (NFPA 58), and the 2017 Edition of the National Fuel Gas Code (NFPA 54), and as amended by SMC 19.04.080.

H. The 2021 International Property Maintenance Code, including Appendix Chapter A, as published by the International Code Council (ICC).

I. The 2021 International Wildland-Urban Interface Code pursuant to Chapter 51-55 WAC, and as amended by SMC 19.04.090.

J. The 2021 Edition of the International Energy Conservation Code of the State of Washington pursuant to Chapters 51-11C and 51-11R WAC, including Appendix C of the Residential Provisions. (Ord. 2483, 2024)
